A genre and gender-defying mix of rock, pop, and dance inspired by burlesque, drag queens, and glam rock, New Yorks Scissor Sisters made a big splash in late 2003/early 2004 with their neon-bright re-imagining of Pink Floyds "Comfortably Numb," the B-side to the bands first single "Electrobix." They have topped album charts, selling out concert venues and scoring hit after hit in the UK and much of Europe. They have won praise from the praise from Kylie Minogue, Duran Duran, and Elton John.
